Recently, a $10,000 grant for analyzing and gathering crime data was awarded to Dr. Phyllis Robertson, an assistant professor in the department of human services, along with Dr. Alvin Malesky, an associate professor in Western Carolina University's psychology department.

BY TOM YANCEY STAFF WRITER William "Bill" Casey, former pastor of Notre Dame Catholic Church and a Greene County resident, pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexually abusing a boy in North Carolina during a visit to Little Switzerland, N.C., with the boy more than 30 years ago.
